“I guess the first question is, how are they going to arm themselves?”
Yeah. When the boat is sinking is not the time to start telling people they can bring a life-vest with them if they want to. And when your country is attacked by an enemy is not the time to tell your citizens they can go get a firearm and ammo and “please do their part” to protect your lazy rights-violating azz. Self-defense is a natural right for all humans and shouldn’t be restricted by the government without individual due process.
The law-abiding citizens should not be prevented from owning as much ammo and as many firearms as they want to purchase. That way you have a well-trained, well-regulated, and experienced militia when needed. Fifty rounds is just enough to draw the attention of the enemy and certainly not enough to repel a dozen troopers storming into your home.

What’s more of a standard for such a statement? Israel where everyone has to do 2 years and learn how to handle a weapon or Switzerland, a place that also has mandatory military service and if desired, the Swiss citizen can buy the weapon they were issued.
Israeli’s should have been pouring into the streets with M4s and Galil’s. Instead they were slaughtered.
