And get rid of the 50 round max. They need unlimited ammo.

You forgot "may issue", they still need a good reason to obtain an handgun.
Frankly, I am surprised the citizens in Israel are stupid enough to tolerate these kind of restrictions , especially after surviving the Holocaust, and being under constant threat of terrorist attacks or invasion.
