Iran is behind this, but Russia is rhetorically supporting Hamas. There were cyber attacks on Israel. But the Iron Dome system isn’t perfect. It can stop dozens or even a few hundred rockets in a day. 2200 in a few hours is another matter.
From what vids I saw, Iron Dome made a lot of intercepts. But, there were just too many of those cheap rockets.
Where is proof of “advanced weapons”?
It wasn't compromised, it was overwhelmed by the sheer number of rockets that were launched.
