If it’s not a crime then pounding the s*** out of someone for spitting on you should not be a crime either.
Spitting “at” is not the same thing as “spitting on.”
I am sure I have spat at everyone in the world, if taking into account the various directions I’ve spat, over the years. Of course, I didn’t spit on anyone in those directions.
It is highly unlikely that people a half world away even knew I spat at them.
It is equally unlikely that my spit actually reached that far.
