On such an enormous high stake level, having no follow-up plan and just betting on pure luck - like playing the lottery, is to me pretty insane. There is a reason for sacking the speaker out of the house has never been done in the entire history of America. There are other ways to do politics.
Also I don’t like the look of this either. Democrats helping Gaetz to oust our own leader in the House... Jesus Christ!

But! If the secret plan was to replace McCarthy with Trump as the new speaker of the House, then this whole thing was a pure master play, and I can only approve!
Call out evil where you see it and make the world a better place. I don’t get your high stakes at all. McCarthy was a snake, gave everything away to the left, made secret deals...Why would you need a plan before showing him the door? It’s not a coup.
Other than being weak & duplicitous what did McCarthy bring to the table? Another speaker may be better, unlikely to be worse and the fear of consequences may keep the next speaker focused.
Pandora’s box was opened long ago. That is the point, evil is loose, dominating Congress and the Government. McCarthy enabled the evil forces. The first step in combatting evil is naming it and demanding a better way.

My question is, what happened to all the budget wrangling amongst Republicans that occurred in the Spring and Summer? FWIW, I believe 3 of the 12 Appropriations bills DID get passed by the House.
