Why did all the Democrats vote for this?
They think a caucus in disarray is easier to work with. But we've never had a speaker ousted before. This is uncharted territory. And considering what we've had, it really presents a moment of opportunity.
In the long run, I don't think the Democrats will be happy. Either McCarthy returns with a bigger desire to fight the Democrats, or someone who will fight them can take the chair.
Is this a serious question? If the Democrats were trying to oust their speaker, wouldn’t you want all the Republicans trying to help them? Disarray on the other side is always a good thing.
“ Why did all the Democrats vote for this?”
Why wouldn’t they?
What point are you making? What is your reasoning.
If your question is not rhetorical the answer is that McCarthy is not in their party and it gives them a chance (remote to non-existent) to elect a speaker from their party.
