In a post on X, progressive Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) called the bill a “win-win” for allowing federal employees to continue to receive paychecks, and for riling far-right Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.), who she says “threw a tantrum.”
House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) also celebrated the vote, saying “all extreme right-wing policies have been removed” from it, arguing in a post that “MAGA Republicans have surrendered.”

The last time we got the government we deserved was 1776 - and it wasn’t through peaceful means.
The whole “peaceful transition” idea turns out to have been a pipe dream. One way or another, the powers-that-be remain in power. They do it via Manchurian candidates, fake scandal, impeachment and forced resignation, outright election rigging, or even assassination when necessary.
Another 1776 is the only way to stop them - but for that we would need a thousand Donald Trumps, and we only have the one.
That’s the tragedy here. Trump is the only one with the courage and determination to stand up to the corruption and save the United States. He’s the patriotic fighter the Founding Fathers envisioned, the man who loves his country more than anything else and puts everything on the line to save it. Trump is a multi-billionaire and could have just rested on his money and smiled at the corruption himself. But he stood up and fought it, he’s the only figure in either party in 50 years to stand up to and even beat the cheap labor lobby.
It’s why they hate him so much, even many officials masquerading as Republicans. These traitors are actively destroying the country, overrunning whole homes and neighborhoods, flooding even our schools with fentanyl and meth. But they don’t care, they care only about their personal enrichment and decadence, and they’re willing to attack any true patriot who stands in their way. It’s why so many young American conservatives have lost hope here and are leaving America for good.
These scum are the very sort of feckless corruption that the great works of the centuries, including the Bible and Constitution all warned us against. And Trump is the only one still fighting the good fight. They know they can’t defeat him at the ballot box, so they try corrupt prosecutions and even open theft. With too much of the rest of the GOP either indifferent or even actively complicit in it, another reason they do not deserve conservative votes. If their attacks are allowed to go ahead without fighting back, then it’s the end of the United States as a free republic that this very forum is named for. What we know at the very least, is that we won’t be able to fight that fight with treasonous scum like Cowardly Kevin in leadership positions.

Ukraine was stripped out. There is no guarantee it gets a separate vote on the floor. It has to achieve majority GOP support before McCarthy will allow it on the floor. This bill got majority GOP support only by stripping it out.
This can be a win.

The open border is the planned destruction and the media, the gop, the left, are letting the masses come in.. there was a report today, biden taking the finances aimed for the border patrol, and making a sanctuary on this side of that border, for the illegals.. making accomodations for them to live in...
I have family in El Paso and when they go outside their door, they carry. you think any in congress or in the administration would live like that!!

And the terrible determination of good men who only wanted to live their lives and thrive.

Yes, I know that there are three branches according to our Constitution which comprise of The Executive, the Legislative and the Judicial. I’m just simply quoting chuckle from 12 years ago.
