I have pointed out this fact many times. I usually get no coherent response. I chalk it up to willful ignorance. Some would say a cult. I think most of the denial of reality is that they’re too emotionally invested in Trump. They like a soap opera.
This isn’t serious nation anymore. Bitch tweets and late night all cap rants are more important than actual accomplishments.
They don't care. I used to think this fanatical devotion to Trump was a case of sunk cost fallacy--so many hopes had been raised by this man and so much had been sacrificed to support him that they just can't move on.
But now I actually think that much of it has to do with conservative media/infotainment conditioning. There is no discussion about policy anymore or how to implement an agenda. Any such talk will get you branded an establishment simp. Trump's followers now live for "Yasss Qween" moments from Kari Lake and the weekly 2:00 a.m. nuttery dispatch from Truth Social
Trump and the grifters around him lie continuously about DeSantis."Desantis is backed by Soros! He is a front for Paul Ryan!" They know Trump's lying, and I suspect they know how stupid they sound repeating the lies, but it's like nothing's real anymore. It's all sound and fury.
