Oh, trust me... when the left spouts something, I know immediately that the exact opposite is probably the truth. Been knowing that for decades. I’ve been comparing rhetoric and narratives of the Democrats to the CPUSA for decades, as well.
I have a friend whose family are all Democrat voters. They don’t watch anything but lamestream news, if at all. Head in sand would be a step up from what they are. He has gotten to the point where he doesn’t even attempt to enlighten or inform them of the truth. It’s hopeless.
