I’ve heard some stores may go to the Costco model, where you have a membership card ,and you have to scan it in order to enter the premises.
Shopping may become more of a hassle with more security on hand , then becoming more time consuming to do routine shopping.
May6e stores will have to hire more employees , to be on hand so they can unlock the cases where so many items are now being locked up to deter thieves.
And maybe many stores will do away with the self checkout, so that we are all being watched more by actual human beings. I’ve heard a lot of retail theft happens when people”forget” to scan a few items at self checkout.
The looters will be waiting out doors to steal from you as you load your car.
The technology exists to both have an ID card AND a fingerprint scanner.
I think we will see that 100%
n fact, that sounds like a business opportunity
Probably what we have to do from thus point. If you're a thief, your membership card will get revoked and you'll be arrested for trespassing if you try to come back the next time.
