My son’s exwife was a Mexican American. Legal. I had the pleasure of meeting her “cousin” one time who was a Border Patroler. He was a real piece of work. This was back in the mid-90s. He was talking about his job and broke out in tears talking about how those poor people trying to cross the border only wanted “a better life”. I hated to watch a grown man cry so I had to go out and fire up a smoke and then find someone else to talk to. I knew where he was coming from and what the BP was made of at that time.
