Republican Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ campaign confirmed to The Daily Signal on Wednesday evening that he will support 15-week protections for the unborn.
In audio of the debate following DeSantis’ response to an abortion question, candidate Sen. Tim Scott can be heard asking DeSantis if he would support legislation banning abortions of babies after 15 weeks.
“Yes, I will,” DeSantis responds.

We had 4 children and ultrasounds confirmed they had heart
beats at 5 weeks. So for me and my beliefs that should

Anytime there is a conflict between Trumpism and Conservatism, Trump wins. If a few million preborn children have to be torn apart for there to be a clear Republican win then our fight is not against Democrats but Satan.
Abortion is a state issue but to deny that infants that could survive outside the womb do not deserve protection granted under the 14th amendment (let alone the whole philosophy of government being formed to protect the right to life.) is wrong. If an infant is a person(for legal purposes) one minute after birth how can we ignore that truth just because the baby is 1 minute away from birth?

If that state allows abortion then why would Govt step in, they already agreed to whatever the law is that they signed to allow abortion.
If a new Gov comes in to assembly switches party leadership, they can work to get the assembly to change the state law.
The Citizens of the state can constantly be active in trying to change the law too.
No Govt should be having a law then also paying tax payer monies to go against their law.
Churches or Believer’s should be doing ALL they can to help men and women learn to control them selves (The Holy Spirit gives self control, so it is available) or if they get pregnant to consider help to keep the baby or adoption.
It’s not like abortion is some modern thing, it’s been around thousands of years. god made ways for people to choose not to get pregnant and to choose wisely if they do get pregnant.
Just tell me this. Every argument for keeping abortion legal could be applied to legalizing infanticide especially when discussing severely ill infants. So if a child survives an abortion at 28 weeks is allowing her to die just continuing a the abortion or is it infanticide? If the state law has decided it is the former would a federal law establishing it is infanticide be justified?
You must realize the basic truth that the federal government is not your friend. They have killed millions upon millions of unborn and WILL do it again given the chance.
You’ve got to use your head, not just you gushy heart or you’re doomed to make the same mistake over and over again.
Abortion is a LOCAL GOVERNANCE (STATE’S”) issue. The people of each local government (state) are responsible to decide which way the state will go. THAT is where the hard work is. The cop-out is letting a rouge and deadly federal government continue its illegal and deadly acts.

We won’t end their rule for decades. So your virtue signaling will only create 50 more years of baby murder. Probably a lot of US murdered by them also.
Nobody said nothing about “relaxing”. We talked about strategic thinking. Refuse to discuss it, say it’s “settled and not a Federal issue according to the Supremes”. Lull as many of the baby killers as possible into complacency and win 2024. Then when we are back in power, we hit em more.
But the stupidest possible thing is to strut around saying now we want a Federal ban, and see how much we can enrage the enemy into crawling across broken glass to stop us.
Roe was a giant win. But make no mistake, if we lose 2024, it’ll be back inside of a year or two.
