I like the idea of politicians having had some real life work/business experience. I also like them to have had some military experience. But even Ronald Reagan, whom I still consider the best president in modern history, had political experience as an executive after his first career and before his presidency.
To go to D.C. and think one can change the deeply ingrained power structure is naïve, especially if Congress doesn’t have enough anti-swamp legislators to overwhelm the entrenched bog monsters.
The only thing stupider and more laughable than the joke of a circle jerk they are calling a “debate” is CNN pretending to offer post “debate” “analysis”.

You have a twisted view of Trump’s term.. You don’t like him and easily find fault.
DeSantis is too young and not ready for the onslaught he would receive if he actually tried to clean up the deep state. Of he did not do what has to be done, he would have failed and our government would be full fledged radical.....
We cannot do another election with someone unable to get those with a goal of control, out. And that person would meet the machine operating to attack and destroy him and family.
DeSantis has no idea what would await him. If he did Anything they did not like..
We have never been here before.. The corruption has to be dealt with.
Being a governor does not reach the depth of world dominion the deep state is after.. And there are no limits.
You’ve got it wrong. I like Trump. I supported him since 2015, up to the selection cycle in May. I still like him, I defend him against persecution, but I absolutely do not want to see him as the 2024 candidate or see him back in the White House.
There is no proof for that baseless claim. We’ve had that discussion over and over on FR, and there is no connection. The values and positions are very, very different.
