If the Federal Government abdicates its responsibility to protect the US from invasion, the states have the authority to act.

It's an integral part of Federalism that the states are supposed to step up to the plate when the Feds act unlawfully as the current regime is doing.

But we don't have any state politicians who seem capable of doing so.
