The Iraqi Army had Abrams tanks. Isis beat them with Toyotas.
“The Pentagon confirmed the tanks arrived in Ukraine, with a spokesperson saying “the mere presence of Abrams tanks serves as a potent deterrent.”
Turns out what is a good deterrent is a US Army armored division.
Not a good tank in the hands of a 3rd world military.

A military is one hell of a lot more than a bunch of dudes wearing the same color and cut of clothes. No matter how much expensive s-—t you give them.
The Abrams in Iraq were defeated by IEDs. Pack enough explosives in a hole in the ground and any armored vehicle is vulnerable, which is one reason why armor in a city or running the vehicles up and down the same road makes them so vulnerable. The Ukrainians have considerably more space to maneuver.
