The mistrial was declared because the jury voted 10-2 to acquit him and the government probably realized at 10-2 for acquittal meant they really didn’t have a strong case.

I know the answer, but why Bob Menendez and why now, has he pissed off someone in the DOJ, did he really commit the crimes, who knows because the entire thing is political.

Remember Raymond Donovan, the Labor Secretary under Ronald Reagan, he was forced to resign after getting charged with crimes, he went to trial and was found not guilty.

He remarked after the verdict, “where does someone go to get their reputation back”,

The political establishment took him out and ruined his career and probably cost him millions to defend himself.

I have a real problem with the idea of forcing someone to resign over allegations.

Under this scenario, the political establishment can take out anyone they want, they can pretty much do it now, at some point we have to say no only the people can do that.

Oh let him finish his term. In the eyes of the public he is a crook. This isn’t coming from the Republicans. He was publicly against more than one of the administration’s policies. Just hope we can find someone who can win to run against him.
