Former President Donald Trump holds a 33-point lead in Iowa for the presidential nomination, a recent Trafalgar Group survey found.

The survey asked likely Iowa caucusgoers, “If the 2024 Republican Caucus were tomorrow, who would you most likely support for President?”

Overall, nearly half, 49 percent, chose Trump as their candidate of choice. That reflects a seven-point bump from the last survey.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis comes in a distance second, 33 points behind, with 16 percent support in the GOP field— his status remaining virtually unchanged since the August survey.

Former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley came in third, with eight percent support, followed by South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott and anti-woke businessman Vivek Ramaswamy, both of whom garnered seven percent support each.

Former Vice President Mike Pence and North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum tied with four percent support, and all remaining candidates saw two percent support or less.

The survey was taken September 14-18, 2023, among 1,079 likely GOP presidential caucusgoers and has a +/- 2.9 percent margin of error:

Iowa 2024: Trump holds 33-point lead for Republican Nomination

Trump 49% (+7)
DeSantis 16% (=)
Haley 8% (+3)
Scott 7% (-6)
Ramaswamy 7% (+1)
Pence 4%
Burgum 4% (+1)
Christie 2% (-2)
Johnson 1%

The survey’s findings are relatively consistent with the latest Fox News poll, which similarly found Trump leading with 46 percent support and DeSantis coming in a distant second with 15 percent support. Haley followed, garnering 11 percent support — four points behind the Florida governor:

That’s odd. Why then did he ban transgenders from the military in his 1st term, pledge to ban transgender individuals from womens’ sports & restrooms and to criminalize transgender surgery in children?

“I will ban all taxpayer funding for sex or gender transitions at any age,” said Trump, receiving thunderous applause at the Faith & Freedom Coalition conference in Washington last month. The Republican leader, who moments earlier had also pledged to reinstate a ban on transgender men and women serving in the military, paused for several seconds to soak in the crowd’s adulation.

What do I think about Donald Trump?

Well, I think he’s God’s man for the hour. He stands against the Satanic Left like no other. He loves America and has given his all to defended her and rescue her.

God bless him.

But does Trump really know what makes America great? I don’t think so. He seems to think the answer is using unconstitutional government “the right way” (ie doing the wrong thing the right way). But as Reagan repeated often, “[Unconstitutional] government isn’t the solution, it is the problem.”

Trump (and America in general) seem lost on the idea that the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution CREATES AND DEFINES the United States of America as a Free Constitutional Republic. (Even Trump talks about America in terms of “democracy” which it is not.)

So Trump is here to wage war on those who hate America and to make America strong again. But when he’s done, then what? He’s “saving” America by using the $3+ trillion 80%+ unconstitutional portion of the federal government. But what makes America strong and great? Unconstitutional government????

NO!!!

What makes America strong and wealthy is CONSTITUTIONAL FREEDOM FROM GOVERNMENT!!!!

America in the 1800’s was one of the freest societies ever in history. Government spending was a mere 5% or so of the GDP. Nobody thought about the feds. Everyone was too busy living their lives as they saw fit. And what emerged from the 1800’s and into the 1900’s was the feest, stongs, and wealthiest nation in the world. Because of government???? No!!! Because of CONSTITUTIONAL FREEDOM FROM GOVERNMENT!!!!
