The pilot of a $100million F35 fighter jet who ejected over South Carolina over the weekend can be heard pleading for an ambulance and admitting he his 'not sure' where his plane is in astonishing newly-released audio of a 911 call.
The unnamed pilot, a 47-year-old with decades of flying experience, parachuted into a resident's back yard from 2,000ft after the super-advanced stealth aircraft suffered a malfunction over Charlesto

Was the recording from the time of the incident, or was it made later to fit whatever story they’re trying to come up with?
The more I read about this, the more I think you’re right. In some manner, the plane was hacked,. I’ve got to think of an experience pilot is not gonna bail out, unless he’s very sure of the need, or if it was accomplished against his will.
Amazing isn’t it? Feed these “journalists” a line and they accept it no questions asked. I used to think they were apparatchiks, they are but now there seems to be a new class of ignorance/slothfulness coming from the “journo’s.”
You brightened an otherwise bad mental health day.

I had to reply to this. “pop gun” is such a witty comment. Comment of the day here...
We will NEVER know the truth.
There goes the retirement job at Jet Blue.
This pilot signed for the fighter and then abandoned it
Is everything and everyone in our US Government a cartoon figure?
“I’m of the opinion the plane was hacked. The hacker ejected the pilot “
That cracked me up! ROFL!
“Dum, de dum dum, what a nice flight....*POOF*”
I would be absolutely frantic that the plane was going to crash into some of the population. Not that there’s anything anyone can do to stop it.
I was going to say that this is the most bizarre story I’ve heard....but after the last few years, it’s pretty run-of-the-mill.
“Feed these “journalists” a line and they accept it no questions asked.”

There’s a symbiotic relationship going on here. The “journalists” print whatever their government sources want them to print, and in turn the “journalists” benefit by getting access to breaking stories straight from the insiders.
So its not really ignorance or slothfulness, although to a certain extent the pre-written articles (courtesy of the source) do make it very easy to turn around the story. Rather its fundamentally a case of a “you scratch my back and I’ll scratch your’s” kind of thing. In other words, they help each other, but they certainly don’t help the public, or even democracy, by spouting self-serving propaganda.

That may be the best post of the day!
The bizarre has become common place these days.
Someone posted on another FR thread that the F35B can eject the pilot on its own if it thinks it’s in trouble.
So maybe the guy was just flying along fine and dandy, and BOOM! he’s out.
Aww....thanks!
Sounds like it was hacked.
I think on his phone call to 911 he states that he ejected from the plane. But your theory is certainly within the realm of possibility these days!
“The story is so full of spin, it will be a long time before we know the truth…if ever.”

That’s the general reason for spinning — obfuscate and prevaricate to prevent anyone from understanding what happened. This is their modus operandi.
