The NY state population is around 20 million.
A lot of NY State is rural - farms, small towns, villages and hamlets, most of which have a more conservative population.
But they are continually out voted by the leftist urban areas.
The NY City population alone is 8.5 million.
The greater NY City metro area (including NY City) has a state population of at least 11 million.
The population in other NY state cities and metro areas is at least 3 million (probably much more).
In the last gubernatorial election Hochul won over the republican by 53.2% to 46.8% - the closest margin since 1994.
How much of that winning vote was comprised of bogus ballots we will never know.
