Who paid for it? I rather object to public funds being used for a stone emblem of an anus. If it was private funds I do not care but it should not be put on public land.

Frankly, I'm offended that anybody should even think of commemorating the people who propagated that hideous disease among us. They were perverts, not heroes. Like building a monument to Satan, or Hitler.
