In recent history, anyway. We cannot know the pro-life positions of 18th and 19th century presidents, or even first half of 20th century. When did abortion become widely available? I will research that and post an answer later.

Reagan was the greatest gift ever given to abortion rights. He was the governor of California that legalized abortion in 1967. This was the catalyst for other states and was used in pushing through Roe vs. Wade.
He talked the talk but he sure didn’t walk the walk, but 2 out of 3 of his SCOTUS appointments held up Roe vs. Wade decades after he appointed them.
compare to GW MORON who gave us traitor Roberts and wanted his personal crony Harriet Miers until the last remaining segment of his support threatened to rebel unless he withdrew her and appointed a real conservative like Alito.
