Art Laffer voted for Clinton and Obama.

In retrospect, Clinton was more pro-business than Bush1. Also, Laffer returned to Republicans, advising the Trump administration:

The point is that conservatives have become anti-intellectual compared to how we were in the 20th century, and we seem to be taking cues now from idiots like this woman.

All of those people that you mention had real careers. And they were writers. Writing forces you to discipline your thinking.

What we have now are “media conservatives”. People with no apparent knowledge of anything (that’s you, Sean Hannity) but who spend their time flapping their lips daily on tv or radio. Most of them are dimwits.

Boebert as far as I know doesn’t present herself as a conservative thinker. Most politicians don’t, and probably 99% of them would lose in a debate with the proverbial 5th grader.
