What that illustrates is the fact that if you do not protect property rights - your country will descend into the 4th or 5th world.

If ever there was a case for the United Nations, Haiti is it. An invasion, imposition of order and a Constitution that protects property rights fundamentally should be the first three things.

WE have sent troops to Haiti to restore “order” at least twice if my memory is correct. Democratic conditions never last. An uncomfortable truth is that there are too many people on the Haitian side of the island to make any sort of progress.
