Trump says Biden is "not too old" to be president
Axios ^ | 09/14/2023 | Erin Doherty

Former President Trump said in an interview airing Thursday that President Biden is "not too old" to be president — but that he's "incompetent."

***Trump, 77, is just a few years younger than Biden, 80, and has avoided criticizing Biden's age.

He's instead focused on Biden's "mental acuity," even as age has emerged as a top concern for voters ahead of 2024. Driving the news: "Age is interesting because some people are very sharp and some people do lose it, but you lose it at 40 and 50, also," Trump said on SiriusXM's "The Megyn Kelly Show."

"But no, he's not too old at all. He's grossly incompetent." Trump added that there are several world leaders who "were phenomenal in their 80s." "You know, there's great wisdom if you're not in a position like him. But if you go back 25 years, he wasn't the sharpest tack either," Trump said. What they're saying: "President Biden has succeeded where Donald Trump failed at every turn, and that evidently isn't sitting well with the former president," Biden campaign spokesperson Ammar Moussa said in a statement.

"President Biden's wisdom and experience has led to the most consequential presidency in decades, while Donald Trump continues to be haunted by his own historic failures." The big picture: Biden, the oldest sitting president, would be 86 at the end of a second term, as his age has become a focal point among voters.

77% of adults think Biden, 80, is too old to effectively serve for four more years, with 89% of Republicans holding that view and 69% of Democrats, an AP-NORC poll out last month found.

Just over half of all adults think that Trump is too old to effectively serve another term, with 71% of Democrats holding that view and 28% of Republicans.

Biden is not too old, he’s too senile....

Precisely. Two entirely different issues.

If Trump admitted this, then he would be too old as well.

I think his answer is the only one he could give.

But when the probability you will die in the next year approaches double digits it is time to let someone else run the country. Sure, they can run their own businesses…just not the country.

With all Biden has done personally while posing as the U.S. President, he could have been dead. I’m sure they could have found a Zero G aide who could have impersonated Jo Jo’s voice and sniffle when children were around the corpse during press conferences.

LBJ bailed on March 31, 1968.

There are plenty of people who could mount a three month campaign for the nomination.

FOR ANYONE .....

How does VP Harris figure in this upcoming election?
Is she in or out? If in and Biden wins how long does
he serve before stepping down and VP Harris becomes
the first female President. All this assuming President
Biden lives to the end of this current term and re-elected.

2016 campaign slogan:

“Bill always chooses someone other than Hillary.

Perhaps you (voters) should too.”

And it’s true. For decades and decades and decades and decades.

At least 40 years.

I think that is because Tucker’s interview was more like a fawning hagiography.

And had the steal not have happened, Trump would be just about done with his 8 year break from running his companies, to Make America Great Again..

You can’t answer that question?

Me personally, I don't think any Dem wins, but that's me. It's the Dems that need to find Joe's replacement and hope on a wing and a prayer they can win.

That’s fine.

But I think electing someone to start at term at 79 is pretty much crazy.

How many more dotards do we need to see hobbling along on some stage. And I am a “senior” myself. There just comes a time when you move on.

I even used to think that about Bob Hope….

I think Biden is the only one who could beat Trump.

The issue is going to be very important once the trials start. If there is truly damning evidence (still a big question) and it knocks Trump down or out…the race to replace Biden will really take off.

There was somebody here that did just that all the time. She’s gone now, fortunately.

Tiresome TDS liberal troll that was as conservative as Mittens.

No. He is not too old. He is too decrepit physically and mentally to be a real president. As a puppet mouthpiece for the Democrat Politburo he is just fine.

Trump will beat Biden when Trump takes ownership of Dominion voting machines.
