Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) on Tuesday suggested President Biden and former President Donald Trump may be too old to serve in the White House, saying in a new interview the presidency is “not a job for someone that’s 80 years old.”
DeSantis, who is running for the GOP presidential nomination in 2024, told CBS News it’s justified for voters to have concerns about the age of presidential nominees.
“ I think that’s absolutely a legitimate concern. The presidency’s not a job for someone that’s 80 years old, and there’s nothing wrong with being 80,” DeSantis said. “Obviously, I’m the governor of Florida. I know a lot of people who are elderly. They’re great people.” “But you’re talking about a job where you need to give it 100 percent. We need an energetic president,” he continued. “And I think that if the founders could kind of look at this again, I do think they probably would have put an age limit on some of these offices.”

But with Trump, fair to wonder about VP. Biden picked Harris, which is a disaster waiting to happen.

A decent man would have set his sights on 2028, and been super loud about the FACT that the election was stolen and that only restoring the rightful president could restore America. And haven’t heard him say a thing about the January 6 political prisoners. He also met Garland just before the Mar-a-Lago terrorist FBI raid.

I used to be a fan, and did not believe it at all when rumors started to swirl about him throwing his hat in the ring. I was stunned when he did. He could have supported Trump, may have even been considered VP or good position, and been a good bet for 2028.
Not now. No how. Most people still have some integrity - you just don’t do what he did to the man who helped you.
Having said that, his shipment of illegals to the Vineyard was pure gold.
Trump may not win, and won’t be around forever. DeSantis might be a good president some day. He and Trump may even make up some day and be pals.

As Ron is reduced to the cheap seats, he whines forth with cheap shots. No issues POTUS hasn’t already owned, or staked out.
He needs to back out and run Florida in the manner he has been accustomed.

Yep. Ron had a good script writer during his first four years as governor. And that’s what he was doing - following a script. The idea that in 2018, he suddenly became passionate about all the MAGA issues that had never concerned him before, is absurd.
Now his donors are asking him to play a different role and he’s totally reliant on the script they are giving him. He can’t think for himself.
