As much as I despise Pelosi, I’m having trouble believing that. Maybe Pelosi could forbid the Guard from entering Capitol grounds. But the Speaker of the House is not in the loop when calling up the Guard. So Pelosi could say, “I don’t want them.” But she cannot forbid it.
If I’m wrong, I hope someone will correct me.
Pretty sure Congress still has the administrative responsibility for Builging & institutional security. Rat party in charge, Rat party has the responsibility therefore Pelosi. The executive branch can’t interfere, separation of powers, etc. She set everyone up, everyone walked into the trap!
