The first Gulf War was necessary as Saddam invaded Kuwait and Saudi would have been next. Saddam would have then controlled about 30% of the worlds production. That war was about oil. All the more reason to “drill baby drill” here in the USA with our abundant reserves.
The second Gulf War was unnecessary and the deaths of our soldiers are a direct result of Bush II and Cheney. I find it totally implausible that we did not know Saddam had no credible threat of weapons of mass destruction. Bush and Cheney wanted that war and the blood of our soldiers is on their hands.
Afghanistan was another fiasco of Republicans and Democrats alike. Once we killed Osama Bin Laden (hiding in Pakistan) we should have just left. Let them fight amongst themselves as they have done for centuries. If it became a base for terrorism simply bomb the crap out of them as necessary from the air and repeat as necessary. A bomb load of a B52 makes a very large impression on terrorists. Precision weapons that target leaders of terror and their families makes a large impression.
Kuwait was side-drilling into Iraqi oil fields, they got caught red-handed.
Saudis did 9/11, not Saddam.
