Cheney was more of a threat to the republic than Trump has ever been. When he says “republic,” he means empire.
As in ancient Rome, we’ve had an empire even while we were still officially a republic.
How about a VP who starts a war based on intel a fool would know to be false? How about LBJ who lied about the Gulf of Tonkin attacks to get us into a bloody war and almost certainly had a role in, or at least advance knowledge of the assassination of his predecessor? These were not big threats, Mr. Cheney?
