"Those who join us in all sincerity we welcome. Those who don't favor our cause, we don't expect to enter our ranks in any case." - Barry Goldwater
Also, in 2022 Moreno dropped out the race so JD Vance could prevail over the moderate candidate.
So Moreno should be supported.

I second that.
Trump is a moderate
Even democrats used to run on “building a wall” and stoping illegal immigration. Obviously they didn’t mean it, but they did tell their voters they wanted to do it
We need to start sending communists to what ever marxist country they choose, one way ticket. Like they say, you don’t have to go home, but, you can’t stay here.
It’s always been a ruse to water-down conservative Republicans so the base stays home.
This sounds like Kari Lake telling McCain voters to get the hell out of her rallies, I’m all for this guy getting elected to the Senate but Republicans are in no position to tell any voters they don’t need their support
If want you to grow the base you encourage voters to join you and that includes moderate Republicans
Moderate = slower growth of big government than radicals.
Republicans that voted for Biden are not “moderates”. They’re delusional. I could think of more accurate and colorful adjectives. But, it would be impolite and probably get me banned.
He’s a successful businessman and looks like a solid candidate, but Ohio is a weird state. Nominally Red and conservative, but we keep electing Sherrod Brown by pretty healthy margins. Can’t see what would change that in 2024.
Moderate Republicans = Idiots
For as long as I have been a Republican, grassroot members have been told by their Chamber counterparts, “Look, fight for your nominee as you like. All is fair during the primary race. But once the GOP nominee has been chosen, you must vote for the GOP nominee in the general even if you have to hold your nose to do it.”
If former President Trump becomes the GOP nominee, I wonder how many Chambers will follow their own advice.
He didn’t say anything about “moderate GOP voters.” Most moderate Republicans probably voted for Trump. Are those who didn’t really still “GOP voters”?
The headline could have been more accurate, but that would have required will and effort that the editors lacked.
Many voted for BiteMe, because Mean Tweets.
I totally agree
I think you know the answer to that.
Me: They make that statement in bad faith.
However, a large number of them probably are not be happy with their choice. So we do want them.
But maybe your point is that those Republican candidates who would water down their message so as to appear more "moderate" to win over confirmed Bidenettes are delusional themselves.

Yeah, as we all know, that only went one way. Ask John Kasich, Carly Fiorina, George Pataki, the Bushes, etc., who all voted for Hillary or Biden. While WE were loyal and voted for the Bushes, McCain and Romney.
That headline is a hit piece. Moderate has nothing to do with it, he’s talking about democrat liars who call themselves “republican”.
Quote:”Moreno: “I think we’re better off trying to recruit disaffected Democrats into the movement and broaden our base that way because for somebody who says, ‘I’m going to vote for Biden over Trump’ and that says they’re a Republican, I don’t think we can help that person.””
