Something is odd about this case. Rudy chose not to dispute their claims while not admitting fault. He said it was a legal strategy so he could move on from the case quickly. Seems he’s getting that wish. Maybe it was because of the criminal case and he wanted to focus on that defense?

And lack of money to pay lawyers. He will need lawyers for the GA case which is much bigger.

Rudy is broke. Can’t afford attorneys to fight. The process is the punishment.

From what I know, he accused them of manipulating ballots but never produced any evidence. But from what I remember, this happened when they said there was a water leak at the convention center and they were going to stop the vote counting, but cameras showed they were still working afterward when people that were there to watch them had left.

It’s a very weird legal strategy. He could have (should have?) used the criminal trial to delay the civil trial and/or invoked his fifth amendment right against self incrimination to try to avoid complying with civil discovery requests.

Asking because I really don’t know:

His lack of a dispute (regarding their claims)... can it be used against him in any criminal suits?

Ted Goodman, a political advisor to Giuliani, in a statement, said, “This 57 page opinion on discovery — which would usually be no more than two or three pages — is a prime example of the weaponization of the justice system, where the process is the punishment.”

“This decision should be reversed, as Mayor Giuliani is wrongly accused of not preserving electronic evidence that was seized and held by the FBI,” Goodman said.

It is odd since there was a whole transcript of Ruby saying it was fraud, she and her daughter committed. It was released last week. Not understanding why Rudy didn’t submit any evidence or documents. Ruby got scared after she talked to some people and admitted they did fraud, then she shut up.
