Not just dollars, but technology sharing and export protection. Maybe a bit laundering, but also market protection, like tariffs.
Why any one with a brain thinks this character is even fit to be concidered for President of America is beyond the pale.
And the weapons manufacturer in turn “donate” it to politicians for their campaigns.
👍👍
I agree with a majority of your points. But then, as a naturalized citizen who began first grade in New York City’s public school system in 1957, where they still taught patriotism and began each day reciting the Pledge of Allegiance, I’m America First by nature.
You are correct, eliminating foreign aid doesn’t make a dent. It’s a small percentage of our budget. But we need to save a percent here and percent there. We need to cut a good 75% of non-military federal government. Quite honestly, if we changed the direction in which our military is pointing and focused on the defense of America, we could cut a huge portion of military spending.
Look at the leaps in government spending. COVID created a $1.5 to $2 Trillion per year increase in spending. COVID is over, but spending has not been cut back to 2019 levels - even then we needed to cut huge amounts of spending. Look at what we spent on the military before the “War on Terror”. Same idea. There’s one thing important to point out. No problem was solved by the COVID spending. We still have a potential terrorist problem. It’s called immigration. All of the 9/11 terrorists should never had been allowed to travel to America. That simple problem has never been solved. Instead we blew trillions on wars that we lost.
Bottom line, we become financially strong by focusing on the real problems and cutting what we really cannot afford. You might do that in your own household. I know I have. No cable. No Netflix. Cheaper phones. Slower Internet. Few long trips. Less expensive food choices. Slightly warmer AC temperatures. Slightly cooler heating temperatures. It ads up. No debt and I will buy a new car in a couple of months with cash. The important things in my life - family and friends - have remained the same. It can work the same way with nations.
Like most programs, foreign aid needs to be reviewed from top to bottom. With an eye to what benefits we receive. Covid spending did eliminate the flu for a couple years. Though not the need to get a flu shot. Not much of a payback.
The 2 countries who have committed the most espionage against the United States since the fall of the Soviet Union are Israel and China.
One we widely recognize as a threat to our country and the other one had an intelligence agent make videos of our political, financial and technological leaders having sex with minors. So, we don’t recognize that one as a threat.
How many Israeli spies have been arrested by the US government since the fall of the Soviet Union?
Who was Jeffrey EPSTEIN working for?
What makes you think that the government of Israel is your friend?
It’s not much money to begin given what we spend/blow, so cost-effectiveness is kind of moot anyway.
FWIW, I don’t necessarily agree with Ramaswamy, and there are reasons we boost Israel, but the cost/benefit argument is a non-starter.
It’s a complcated, one-way relationship... like NATO.
Why?
I don't care if the country is Atheist, Islamic, Jesus killers, Buddhist, etc..
As long as they aren't a threat to me and my children, I don't care what they do in their own country.
Israel is a direct threat to me and my children. They have been engaging in espionage against us and directing our foreign policy for decades. They have been responsible for "convincing" our corrupt leaders to spill US blood and treasure on their behalf all over the world.
I was a big supporter of the Iraq war and I was just as against the Muslims as you until I realized that I had been tricked.
They are lying to you. The leaders of Israel are just as evil as the people running (and destroying) our country. They are all part of the same globalist cabal.
You need to wake up and realize that.
By the way, I don't trust Vivek either. I just like what he says about Israel.
I agree. But Israel is egregious at this.
Every election cycle politicians have to speak in front of AIPAC and right when there’s a new administration, there’s always a group of Jews doing a photo-op in the White House.
And you can’t speak out against it because you’ll be labeled antisemitic.
>> you’ll be labeled antisemitic.
But for an occasional synagogue of satan comment, no antisemitism from you, none whatsoever.
Threads like this sure do bring out the protocols of zion fanboys.
#32 Well said!!
“Why any one with a brain thinks this character is even fit to be concidered for President of America is beyond the pale.”
Agreed. His sophmoric zeal is not backed up with any thoughtful evaluations. He is a bumper sticker candidate.
