You have to give people information so they can plan evacuations, secure property, etc. lots of old folks need to be evacuated in case of power loss. Limited roads and you can’t wait till the last minute.

Winds are estimated to be 120 mph….maybe more. Gonna be lots of destruction.

Just common sense.

It's going to be like Ian about 11 months ago. The shoreline of the landfall spots are going suffer a lot of damage. Fortunately, landfall is in a sparsely populated part of the Florida coastline, unlike Ian, which almost had a direct hit on Fort Myers.
