Tropical Depression 10 has formed between the Yucatan Peninsula and the Western Tip of Cuba. Governor DeSantis issued a state of emergency for 33 Florida counties in advance of the system.

I think future radar shows this whole system getting bigger and bigger and I would guess more potent.

Yep here now home. Canal is full and although smooth water lots of it. I expect to see it pushed out in a short while as the storm moves north and we’re on the west side.

Multiple tornadic activity, offshore at present. The eye looks picture perfect on radar.

Yes. I put them on the leeward side of the house. 90 mph winds blowing through pine trees makes a horrible screeching sound. The next day we filled 4 large trash bags with green pine cones. No power for a couple of days. Kids learned how to wash clothes in the sink. Fun times.

Whew, what a day. Haven’t been online since lunchtime- work related issues- now trying to catch up. Looks like she’s got a tight eye now, maybe east a bit early..(or a wobble)..water’s pretty toasty, not good.

Over here near Orlando we had one wicked squall late afternoon- lasted maybe 40 minutes- wind tore some large oak branches down, torrential rain, dropped 20 degrees then stopped. Been quiet since.
