Go ahead and fact check it:
Didn’t warn people with warning sirens
Turned off the water, even to fireman
Barricaded people from leaving disaster
Government benefited from death toll by taking property
Now media censorship and blaming on CO2 climate change.
There is absolutely no comparison to Katrina when:
People told to leave. Transportation available.
Nobody blocked exit
Nobody denied available services
Government didn’t benefit from death toll.
No censorship. Republicans to blame for climate change.
Liberals think Katrina worse but
This is probably the most preventable loss of life by negligent or malicious government in US history. It’s the poster child for why Socialism doesn’t work (paid for government services useless) and why it leads to censorship (government covering up facts) and government misdirection (climate change, not horrible decisions to blame).

I hate to say it but it was probably a mistake to make HI the 50th state in 1960, when it sent competing elector slates for VP Nixon and for John F. Kennedy, who was proclaimed the winner in the new state. HI did voted Republican for president at least twice, 1972 and 1984.
