That count is bogus. It counts people opening the tweet, maybe starting the video, which might autostart depending on settings. It is not a count of who actually watched it.

There are two main reasons - Bigotry and he’s currently 2nd in the polls, so he’s the target of everyone.

Besides, this is a rather boring reminiscing conversation. And name calling. Sounds retired, not running.

Wrong! Elon is just encouraging all his friends, wives and children tonight to witness history. By 9am tomorrow 450 million Americans will have viewed his Content.

What he is saying is the climate is naturally getting warmer but the man-made part of it is a hoax. Agree?

Talk about counting your chickens. The first state won’t even vote for about 6 more months, and some of the biggest states are threatening to not even allow Trump on the ballot. I don’t agree with anyone ever being banned from a state’s ballots, but that is where we are being led. Down the drain, by someone who has no chance of wining the general election, anyway.

great post.

There are a lot of sour grapes here that wish their candidate wasn’t at a banana republic deepstate firing squad.

But ya never know, given the next round of debates maybe a few of them might also choose to do an interview. maybe Rachel madcow or al Sharpton can fit them into their schedule.

I think it helps any candidate to be on stage as equals.

This is another reason there was no point in letting 2-9% people stand on stage with Trump.

But tonight was like a competition for the title of The World’s Tallest Midget.

At the end of the competition, the winner is still a midget.

But this will narrow down after NH.

Most have no chance.

I don’t like DeSanctus, but I think he did better than expected.

Rama swampy will be around for a while. He’s still a novelty.

The rino herd were pretty indistinguishable from each other.

I’d rule them all out for supporting ongoing and deeper aid to Ukraine.

Pence has no chance.

” Carlson/Trump interview currently has 89.3 million views on Twitter/X. NYT reporting 24 million watched the GOP debate.”

CALLED IT.

Trump was handily going to get multiple times the eyeballs of this circus...

This theater that Trump is not going to be the nominee, and that any of these folks have any serious shot at the nomination is just not based in reality.

Everyone who cares about the GOP Nominee, that isn’t suffering from TDS, knows that Trump is the nominee, there is no reason to tune into the “debate” other than for the comic relief of watching the circle jerk firing squad bukake each other.

I watched the debate with 2 millennials and 2 Gen z. One is really interested and somewhat knowledgeable, one somewhat aware, the other two along for the ride. They could be classified as rad trad Catholics.

Vivek and then DeSantis was the choice for all. Vivek because he is young and radical and just says the truth. DeSantis was good and has experience. Tim Scott and Burgum were okay. Christie, Pence and Hutchison were boring. Haley out completely over the abortion question.

The Vivek haters on this forum are foaming at the mouth. With all the Republican pricks running, why does he garner such vitriol?

I don’t believe he intends to win POTUS. But he certainly recognizes the fundamental Christian component to the Country’s fabric.

The funny thing about one’s faith is the imposition it ultimately has on the individual regardless of the individual’s hopeful intentions.

No, just trying to point out the obvious. And I just finished watching the Tucker interview, a softball conversation, historical reminiscing, definitely low energy, tired.

Compared to the debate, watching both, Trump no longer up to the debates and campaign. His time has passed.

RE: Donald Trump is a Debate Winner Even Without Taking the Stage

“No one ever lost an election by the speech they didn’t make.”——repeated by Richard Nixon

Now that sounds like a guy who just got caught bluffing having to show a pair of deuces in the face of a straight flush.

Very interesting and not unexpected. Ramaswamy did well and had a very good attitude while doing it. I feel like he won but I thought DeSantis was a little lackluster and may lose some support to Ramaswamy? Thanks for the information.

This “debate” was just the rearranging of deck chairs on their failed campaigns.

Not a single one of them have any shot at being the nominee, and anyone that isn’t in complete and utter denial knows this.

These folks are fighting for, when all is said and done will be at MOST 30-35ish percent of the primary vote between all of them, and that’s being generous.

As you observed, it really doesn’t matter which of any of them “won” because it will have zero impact on the overall race.

My March 5th or 12th at the latest, all but the most ardent nevertrumper and tds sufferer will see the primary is over (even if not fully statistically over). Trump will by that point have run the table up to that point and done so by multiple double digits ahead of whoever the closest competitor will be.

This “debate” was theater, nothing more... they are welcome to run, that’s how the system works, but the reality is DJT was the nominee as of Jan 7, 2021 as long as he decided to run.

There is NOTHING any of these folks can do or say that is going to change that... and as far as Desantis, a campaign message of I’m basically the guy you really like and want, but somehow better... well that’s a campaign message that was doomed to fail.

Had Trump not run we would be having a different discussion, and I would probably be getting fried here for saying if this is the best the GOP’s got for this fall we are dead.

Looking at this lot, it should be blindingly obvious why TRUMP has been the most Dominant political force since 2016... There isn’t a single one on the state tonight that I think could remotely survive and win a national campaign, even against a doddering dementia patient who doesn’t know where he is.

The GOP is just so far out of touch, and so owned by their money men, who don’t give a damn about what matters to you or I, that I honestly don’t see a path for any of these jokers to win an general election. Not because the policies they are advocating are all wrong... but that the things they are wrong on they won’t eve discuss because they know their money men will shut them off instantly if they do, and that’s the stuff the voters are angry and upset, and want something done about.
