Foreign relations ... notice the word "relation." Business is ultimately about relationships. Considering his success in business, is it really surprising that he would be successful in relationships with foreign dignitaries?
One of my lefty relatives had commented some time ago that Melania rarely seems to smile. If one searches for images of Melania, there are many of her smiling or laughing. However, those are not the ones the "journalists" choose to include in articles about her or Pres. Trump. They find the least flattering images of her. Pathetic.
Agree! The speech he gave to the assembled heads of Arab nations when he first went to the Middle East was absolutely brilliant, and largely responsible for the peace we enjoyed those four years. He conveyed his respect for their rights to their religious points of view in their own countries, complimented them where it was due, and got the reasonable nations interested in banding together to resist the terrorist nations, with U.S. help. You could see their icy hesitation when he stepped up to the microphone, slowly melting as he continued to talk, then enthusiastic applause.
Did not hear a word in favor of the speech in our benighted media.
Same with his first speech to the UN. When he called Kim Jong-Il "rocket man", his traitorous chief-of-staff John Kelly made a face palm in front of a world audience; yet we soon saw both Trump and Pompeo treated with respect and friendliness by Kim, who found the nickname funny and somehow flattering. Trump pointed out to Kim, who was Western-educated, NorKo's beautiful features and many of the ways Kim could develop their infrastructure, and made a friend. That was the end of the nuclear threats from NorKo for all of Trump's admin, after almost 8 years of Dubya and Obiewan whining about NK being in "the Axis of Evil."
Our media? Nobel Committee? Crickets.
