Palm Springs daily rainfall 2.64” ... amounts of 4-6 in around San Gabriel Mtns. Death Valley had about an inch of rain and temperatures more than 30 deg below normal for the day (70s instead of 110). Tonopah NV high temp was 59F, probably an all-time record low for August.
