BUENOS AIRES, Argentina (AP) — The Argentine peso plunged Monday after a shaggy-haired 52-year—old anti-establishment candidate who admires former President Donald Trump came first in primary elections that will help determine the country’s next president.
Milei wants to replace the peso with the dollar, and says that Argentina’s Central Bank should be abolished, and that he thinks climate change is a lie. He has characterized sex education as a ploy to destroy the family and has said that he believes the sale of human organs should be legal and it should be easier for Argentines to own handguns.

AP News is just so awful.
Good thing that this reporterette is only reporting the news, not spinning it.
Spin
Trumps
News
It is, but it’s so awful sometimes it’s laughable. “Shaggy-haired rightest”, lol.
Ha!
Make Argentina Great Again!
“rightist” = not a communist globohomo.
RUH ROH, RAGGY!
Where is Helen Thomas when she is needed?
Not the Bee headline.
🤣😂
Hasn’t Argentine already declared bankruptcy TWICE????
Should we move there? I’m thinking of the strength of the dollar.
Thanks for the ping.
I saw a clip of this guy the other day. There’s no mincing words with him - I thought he was pretty darned good....I mean for a shaggy-haired rightist and all lol.
Later in life, as a political junkie, I began to earnestly analyze my life and THAT particular era is intriguingly interesting.
It took the Clinton years for me to see a connection I hadn't seen before, to wit: The sixties especially were a time of global, hallucinatory Satanism in that, an entire global culture, 20 year olds primarily, were all in one accord.
It didn't matter what country nor city, there were the same people; long haired men, girls named Heather, very loose and wonderful sex, a lot of drugs but mainly reefer, and a common language (in whatever language) revolving around U.S. involvement in Viet Nam.
Be ins, sit ins, laugh ins, and All In The Family humor unfettering people from prejudices and hatred.
And the Clinton years ?
They DESPERATELY tried in the eighties what was natural in the sixties, that being a global attempt to unite the youth of America (believing it would reproduce outside of America) the same "family atmosphere" only around nuclear threats.
The Clinton's failed, but I believe the thought never left the left and was carried into our present day.
What's all this got to do with the story here ?
A shaggy haired winner of a foreign primary has upset the global money market and like food, all people need and use a monetary system of some sort to live and procreate.
This shag head (Actually, more like a Beatle mop) wants to switch from the Argentine Peso to the American dollar when the America Satanic establishment is doing a bang up job in lessening America and ridding the planet of her strength and influence.
This effect is something to be aware of and paid attention to.
We are experiencing an extremely influential push to degrade and probably kill a man that wanted nothing but the best for the USA and, like those Argentinians degrading a man because he has shaggy hair, a man is being degraded because he says things they don't like.
A lot (so they say) of people don't like President Trump personally, but all seem to like if not love his policies.
We live in intriguing and interesting times worthy of out scrutinous attention.
This seems to be their issue with the "hispanic" bloc, (ignoring much of Argentina is European), left to their own proclivities they move very much right.'
My boss is Mexican American. His parents came here and became citizens when Reagan granted amnesty. This guy is baseball, apple pie and Chevrolet. We work in a woke corporate environment but I am fairly certain because he lets slip sometimes, if he spoke candidly, he'd be a clear Pinochet supporter.
I guess maybe that's why we don't hear about Si Se Puede anymore. And they really aren't needed now that they just blatantly steal elections and fly other non-desirables into the Diaren Gap and transport them north.
The AP shows its political bias in the title, which pretends that the currency devaluation was caused by the so-called “rightest who admires Trump” coming in first in the primary, when in fact the currency devaluation comes as part of a continuing financial downslide in Argentia with oover 100% inflation.
