The problem is, there is a constituency out there that completely turns off! Maybe as much now as 25% - 30% of the electorate - Independents, some GOP’ers and the few Rats that aren’t in lockstep with the party. You need them to win, how do you get them back? You can’t just say “ well piss on’em “ .... they vote! They’ll either sit at home or vote for Biden. If Biden is discarded and they bring in Newsom, that number could be higher! Newsom’s catastrophic governing record in California won’t even register to them! Just like Trump’s excellent governing record makes no impact on people who judge him strictly by his antics. I am always shocked how little people pay attention to past governing accomplishments both good & bad when deciding who to vote for!
Truly great marketing accomplishes two things:
1. Attracts the right people with the power of an electromagnet
2. Repels the wrong people just as strongly.
Trump does both well.
The strongly attracted are democrats, republicans, and independents - all people who love America and want a future for themselves and their children or grandchildren.
There are still a majority of those.
Trump attracted more votes last go round than any potus in history.
Without fraud, he was elected.
