He was elected to both state and federal Congresses without any help from Trump, and he was overwhelmingly re-elected as governor by his own merit. As to insurance rates, much of it has been increased by hurricanes and fraudulent lawsuits. Gov. DeSantis and the legislature have been passing legislation to reduce insurance costs beginning this fall according to http://www.bankrate.com/homes/ . Hopefully you’lol see an improvement soon.
He got to sign all those Bills without any support of the State Legislature, right? Without the more than 2-1 Republican majority in the Florida State Legislature that gave him those Bills to sign, RDS wouldn't have got diddly-squat done. Why are the people making him out to be a miracle worker, when he had to depend on the people who create and pass those Bills into law, to send them to him, for him to sign? He's not a one-man team. That State Legislature could make or break him. Plenty of those Republicans sitting in the State Legislature that gave him those wins, have been there a lot longer than RDS has been, and they deserve credit for doing the right thing, but nobody can see past their nose, and claim RDS did it all by his "widdle" self.
Overwhelmingly against a weak candidate who had changed parties and whom Desantis outspent by 7X. Not much of a hurrah moment.
