In the House of Representatives, there are 222 Republicans (plus 2 Delegates and the Resident Commissioner of Puerto Rico), 212 Democrats (plus 3 Delegates), and 1 vacant seat.

Given the current numbers in the House, and McCarthy calls for an impeachment committee, would he even get a majority?

Would any of the Republicans bail on it?

To keep you calm, since the other thing they do is make YouTube soundbites for their next campaign. Oh and once in a while they request documents that never come so they can write more demand letters. Then there is the conservative bills they introduce when there is zero chance of them becoming law, all to keep us calm because we take comfort knowing that they are trying.
