But Ron DeDumazz apparently ISN’T viewed as the most conservative candidate in the race by the vast majority of those asked on the subject. (i.e. polled).

As I recall, that “other” guy you speak of (DT) actually WON the presidency in 2016 and 2020, and is ahead in the ‘24 primary polls by, oh, 40 points or so... and polling favorably against Jao Beijing as well.

And DT has conservative bona fides on the national stage, not just “tawk” nationally and a few accomplishments in one state with friendly legislators.

To the extent that RD isn’t “viewed” as the most conservative candidate in the race is simply because Trump voters will simply shout down anyone who points out all of his left-wing proclivities. Things like: catering to the alphabet mafia, his outright opposition to entitlement reform, his “soft spot” for “Dreamers” and H1B Visa applicants, his sop to gun grabbers with bump stocks, as if that’s going to do squat.

Trump won in 2016. He lost in 2020 because he was stupid and let the COVID fallout cripple his presidency and give the communists their unrealized dream of long election windows with unsupervised voting. His Senate picks in 2022 were, much like his admin personnel picks, utter dog excrement. And, polling “favorably” (read: slightly behind) the absolute worst president in US history means you’re a terrible candidate, perhaps the only candidate, capable of getting this 4-alarm dumpster fire reelected.
