Because sending a text is modern and not old. Just like electric vehicles. Who needs a reliable internal combustion engine car. Tried and true methods don’t work in the modern age.

Those old farts don’t know jack

Sirens would have been better in all seriousness. The old ways work in many cases.

Those air-raid sirens in London during The Blitz sure did the trick. That’s a sound you never want to hear.

I would never wanted to hear an air raid siren at that time if I lived at time.

It is insane how people dismiss ways that work. They are cheap and effective.

Looks like direct government action is responsible for many deaths yet gain.

Always count on the government to do the worst thing possible for the greatest number of people.

"There’s a lot suspicious about that fire."

That it started in a homeless encampment? We'll never hear the full story. Never.

The "Official Narrative" will blame it on Climate Change.

There were reports of a serial arsonist on Maui before this fire started. We’ll never hear the full story. Never.

Which is why people should never expect the government to save them.

Just ask the residents of Leilani Estates.

I would have that an excellent cautionary tale.

Sirens would have been better in all seriousness. The old ways work in many cases.

After this incident that ended up having many people killed, they should practice using the sirens yearly.

Kind of like our schools having fire drills.

Hawaii is an island. So they need to be prepared for it to explode anytime.
