Cut sending good money to Ukraine and this should be doable.

Asides - the first time Is visited west Maui the hillsides above Lahaina were lush cane fields, which were purposely burned every year after being harvested. In the nineties all cane & most pineapple was exported to central America and the Philippines, leaving the fields dry tinderboxes.

If this was indeed an accident (and I do not think it was) one could say globalism and the cult of competitive advantage are at fault.

Here in West Texas our biggest concern is high winds and hi-lines. They can snap the lines or they come in contact with each other. Both send a shower of sparks below. Did a street view on that area and most of the buildings seem to be wood and asphalt roofing. Plenty of fuel and high winds can be devastating. Seen one fire move so fast the Texas Forest Service had to set up their line 4 miles in front just to get ahead of it.

I find it hard to believe that the leeward side of the island is so *dry* that it’s a fire hazard, while the mountains and windward side get 50+” of rain.

The buildings were flammable, dry foliage outdoors, and 80+MPH wind from a hurricane south of the island, were YUGE factors.

Only two of the remains have been identified. Unfortunately entire families have perished.

Where are we at? $100+ Billion to the Ukies? We could have fixed Palestine OH and Maui with that, plus a few other problems...

All they have are dental records for ID; burned beyond recognition is an awful mess.

Overcrowding + extensive homeless cooking and flammable shacks + lack of ways to put-out fires (hydrants, reservoirs, etc.) + a naturally dry island = raging fires. No such problems in Oahu.

I was shocked when Will Cain said it this morning. I guess if remain where found on family residences they may have an indication but I would think even dentists offices were destroyed limiting access to records.

I was reading on another site: Instead of fire sirens, the local authorities sent out texts, roads were closed and a bottle neck ensued trapping people, there are over 1000 people still missing. Also how did all the boats anchored out in the harbor catch fire?

Any field that was plowed for decades and then left to return to its natural status without cutting the grass or creating a firebreak can result in what happened. The grass in the fields to the north of town grew right next to the houses. Grass grows when watered (rain) then dies in drought. One spark and high winds is all it takes.

Over the past few years, the globalists have engaged in the most horrible crimes against humanity.

It is well known that after you have committed the first murderous crime, all the crimes that follow become easier and commonplace.

We, the people, are in danger every single day and will continue to be unless we unite to stop the people behind this.

I am not sure if this fire has the globalist types behind the setting if it. I wouldn’t put it past them though.

If they can figure out who in that homeless camp started a campfire, Hawaiians won’t wait for justice.
