This week, the system fell short yet again but in a profound way — there was never a warning to the community about the latest wildfires set ablaze on the island of Maui. zp> Most survivors had little warning of the gaining fire until they smelled smoke or saw flames, reported The Associated Press. Dustin Kaleiopu, a resident of the city of Lahaina that’s in ruins, left his home with his grandfather when smoke started coming through the window, reported CBS News.

According to Wikipedia, the Republican “party was initially strong during Hawaii’s territorial days, but following statehood the Democratic Party has become the dominant party in Hawaii.”

They run the tsunami sirens at 1145 first Monday of the month.

Should have been child’s play to fire them off and wake people up.

Too stoned maybe, that is a Hawaii problem.

To: technically right

” the probability of which was or should have been forecast by the NWS”

It was, on the Big Island NWS page we had red flag warnings due to the winds and relative dryness, if you call 50% humidity dry.

“LOL....he’s quickly blaming it on climate change rather than his ineptetude”

And 80% of the population (sans military) will nod in agreement. Hawaii is a State were you can live a middle class existence on welfare income. They love their socialism.

The air horn system was put into place for tsunamis.

The system in question is the alert sent to islanders cell phones.

All part of the plan. You can’t “build back better” without first burning everything to the ground.

At this point, I guess it would be near impossible to find out what started the fire, but IF it would be determined that it was started by an EV battery, that should be a HUGE lesson learned.

I’m guessing that since it wasn’t a tsunami, they didn’t think to use it.
