Because some of the parents have no other choice. The working poor lower class requires both parents working full time, usually at lower paid jobs, usually in retail.
They can’t afford expensive private schools and they can’t afford to stay home to homeschool. They are enslaved to the Democrat vision of “Big Government”... struggling along, owning nothing, with no time to even consider if they are “”happy””.
Somebody needs to organize hubs of low-cost homeschooling classes in every city to help these people out. And then there are the ignorant parents that don’t realize that sending their kids to public school, like they went to when they were kids, is not only dangerous now, it’s going to radically change their kids for the worse.
