Steve Bannon may not be walking the streets by the time the 2024 election rolls around.

He was pardoned by Trump at the end of his presidency for some type of scheme for privately financing a wall on the southern border after getting pardoned New York State filed similar charges and that trial is scheduled for this November

That trial hasn’t started yet, but this sentence was already handed down. He hasn’t served it yet, as it’s under appeal. I think it’s obviously unfair considering how few others have been charged with this for similar behavior, but that doesn’t erase the practical realities.

Bannon was sentenced today to four months of incarceration and ordered to pay a fine of $6,500 on two counts of contempt of Congress stemming from his failure to comply with a subpoena issued by the House Select Committee investigating the Jan. 6 breach of the United States Capitol.
