Fulton County District Attorney
We're in new territory here, where a random county level DA can indict the leading candidate of the opposition party on trumped up charges. Well, new for the US, it's standard operating procedure in a lot of countries that no one wants to live in. Hard to see how this ends well.
Robert Barnes has floated a possible life preserver on his podcast the other day, arguing that before anyone can indict a sitting, or former, president, the constitution can be read to require impeachment in the House AND conviction in the Senate, which would eliminate this particular misuse of power. Seems like a longshot to me, but maybe worth a pass at SCOTUS.
Hard to see how this isn't a constitutional crisis though, with over 3,000 counties in the US, with every DA empowered to bring charges for political reasons.
Ugly times we live in.

Where are the Republican DA’s filing criminal charges against Biden, Hillary, and others in hard republican cities?
