Some people on FR, such as in this discussion thread, are again or still using dated terms for black Americans which are often seen as racist by most people. At this point, maybe you are doing so intentionally, but it does reflect on FR. Here is a discussion on FR about the matter from a few months ago: https://freerepublic.com/focus/f-chat/4164566/posts. FR has come a long way in establishing itself as not racist, so, speaking for myself, please don't hurt the site, whether you are racist or just enjoy trolling the internet using racism.

You make a valid point. HOWEVER, if black Americans are upset about terms being directed towards them, THEY AND THEY ALONE are responsible for EARNING better treatment. Black Americans need to STOP perpetuating and encouraging the stereotypes and associated terms being directed against them. Stop playing Victim. Fani looks and now is acting like a perpetual victim out for revenge or retribution.

Some of the attitudes are due to ignorance. Some are due to upbringing and culture. Some are due to, well, low intellect.

Regardless, they reflect poorly on FR. To site management’s credit, they are responsive to concerns about such comments when notified.
