If I thought that

1. impeachment in the House was guaranteed to get a majority (I don't know if that is true)
2. There was a substantial political plus in doing it, like a really well done impeachment inquiry (I don't know if that is true)

Maybe it would be a good idea.

Is it possible that the vote would fail, and some voters would think GOP did it because they didn't have anything else to do?

It would get on the record, indelibly, what a crook Biden is, ruin his Wikipedia page forever, and demonstrate what a bunch of lying scum the Democrats in Congress are as well as the mainstream media, and drive a push for reforms and possible replacement of our federal-level “law enforcement” organizations, the hopelessly partisan and criminal DOJ and FBI.
